To celebrate the first day of spring break, I got a relaxing facial today -- just a treat to myself. To my surpise, several girls at the beauty salon wished me a "good time tonight." Um, do we get pampered just for guys? What's wrong with doing nice things for ourselves?
Don't get me wrong -- looking nice for a special person in my life is very important to me. Still, the assumption that I am getting ready for a date is rather unsettling since they have no idea who I really am, having met me only a couple of times.
Teaching one student at a time... Making one yummy treat at a time... Struggling with life... Having Fun!!!

It just continues the idea that women should do things for others instead of taking care of themselves.
